How can I tell whether a block is a genuine 1932 Ford V8 casting?

Steve gives two checks. The block water drain points straight down on a 1932 and is angled outward on 1933 and later. The surface between the timing cover and the motor mount is smooth on a 1932; every later year has a cavity there. He also notes the 1932 oil pan is aluminum.
