What is different about the 1932 Ford V8 exhaust manifold and dipstick?

The 1932 driver-side manifold is straight on both the outside and the inside, and the dipstick comes out underneath it. On the 1933–1934 engine Steve shows, the manifold is curved and the dipstick tube comes up through that curve.
