What is the anti-chatter rod boss on a Ford Flathead block, and what does it say about a 1932 block?
First- and second-generation blocks have a point for attaching anti-chatter rods that run back to the frame. Very early 1932 blocks have a machined flat pad with a bolted-on bracket. A cast-in bracket means the block is not an early 1932; Steve calls his example probably mid-year.
