Can a Chevy-style Mallory dual-point distributor be fitted to a 1949–1953 Ford Flathead?

Yes, with machining. Ed turns the Mallory shaft down and shortens it in the lathe, fits the Ford gear so it slides into the Flathead housing, and plans a welded bracket with a 289 Ford hold-down clamp so the timing can be adjusted.
