Why back the ignition timing off at high RPM?
Ed says an engine makes more compression at high RPM, so you want less advance there. He describes drag racing with two switches on the dash and the point sets wired separately: leaving the line at about 13 degrees and switching to 6 degrees halfway down the track, for about 3 mph more. He plans to wire this distributor's two point sets separately too.
