How did Steve Coppock get a new old stock French Flathead block?

Steve bought it from a seller in Wisconsin who brought blocks to the Grand National Roadster Show. It is new old stock, has never been assembled and still carries Cosmoline. Steve has had it since about January and plans to build it for his own 1937 Ford coupe, probably supercharged.
