How did Simca come to build Ford Flathead V8s in France?
Steve explains that Simca was formed in France in 1934 as a Fiat subsidiary, bought the truck maker Unic in 1951, and bought Ford of France in 1954, including its factory and the products made there. Ford of France had a small car with the V8-60 and larger cars with the more traditional Flathead.
