How did French Flathead blocks become available in the United States?
Steve says the spare engines, blocks, crankshafts, rods and other parts became French government surplus and were auctioned around the year 2000. At least three people in the United States imported them, and he believes most first ended up in Kansas. They now turn up occasionally on eBay or from resellers. He does not know production numbers.
