Why do stock Ford Flathead exhaust ports flow so poorly?
Steve shows that exhaust leaving a stock Ford Flathead has to make a series of 90-degree turns, then runs into a flat shelf he calls a dam, with rough casting and no contour. Porting can smooth and radius the exit, but he says the shelf stays.
