How do bore and stroke increase a Flathead's torque?
Steve explains that a bigger bore gives combustion pressure more piston area to act on, so the same pressure makes more force, and a longer stroke gives that force more leverage on the crankshaft, like a cheater bar on a breaker bar. Both raise torque.
