What does it take to put a modern five-speed behind a Ford Flathead?

Ed shows an aluminum adapter that mates a late-model 1998 to 1999 Ford Tremec 5-speed to the Flathead; the adapter package includes the clutch, bearing and shaft. Fifth gear is the overdrive and it uses a floor shifter. He put the transmission at about 3,000 dollars and the adapter at about 800 to 850 dollars when the video was recorded.
