How do you fit truck-style motor mount water pumps on a 1949–1953 Flathead and keep the belts lined up?
Ed fits new water pumps that have the truck motor mounts on them, which a 1949 to 1953 car engine does not normally have. They are made for the wide belt with two pulleys, and one pump is extended so the belt does not hit the distributor. Because one water pump sits ahead of the other on this engine, he uses a long pump and a short pump so that all the belts line up and still miss the distributor.
