What oil does Ed run in a rebuilt Flathead?
Ed runs regular straight 30-weight motor oil in these older engines, pointing to the valve train clearances and the way the engine lubricates. He does not run 10W or synthetic, and says a multi-viscosity oil is not needed in Arizona, though it might be back east if you drove in the winter.
