Why build a later 1949–1953 block instead of the truck's original 221?
The customer sent Ed the motor that came out of the truck, a 1940 221. Ed says he would not overhaul a 221 for this truck and wanted to use a later-model block, which he expects to be about 265 cubic inches and to run well.
