transmission · FF-0193
Why does Ed bolt the transmission to the engine before shipping it?
Ed assembles everything for the customer because the engine and transmission are being shipped to Texas. They do not stay assembled for shipping. He wants to make sure the transmission slides in and lines up, and he greases the shafts, then takes the transmission off and packages it in one of his wood crates.
