How does Ed replace the Flathead draft tube with a vent valve?
Ed plugs the draft tube opening with a freeze plug and fits a valve in its place. Where the fuel pump stand was, he fits a stand for adding oil with a breather cap on it. Air is drawn in at the breather, goes through the motor and comes back out through the valve and into the engine, like on newer cars, in place of the tube that used to hang down toward the ground. Barry calls it a little more emissions friendly.
