What intake manifold and carburetor does a blown Flathead need?
Joe's manifold for the Flathead is low profile, only 2 inches tall, so the blower fits under the hood even in cramped cars, though he had to use a drop-down air cleaner. His car runs a 600 cfm Holley double pumper. He says the right carburetor size depends on the engine: one that can breathe and make the horsepower needs the air. A customer, Bert Griffin, has had three engines that all made 350 horsepower using an 830 cfm Holley four-barrel.
