What flywheel and pilot bushing adapt a C4 automatic to an early Flathead?
Ed shows the conversion flywheel, which is marked with a motor side and a torque converter side. It has the old-style ring gear teeth, the same as the Flathead, so a Flathead starter can be used. An aluminum pilot bushing goes in the crankshaft and takes the small knob on the special torque converter.
