How does Ed adapt a small-block Chevy Mallory distributor to a Flathead?
Ed shows Mallory distributors that came out of small-block Chevys, with a small base, lined up before and after machining. He shortens them and machines the shaft at the gear end so the Flathead gear fits. One is a marine unit with a vent to keep fumes out. A finished one, complete with its advance weights, will fit the 1949 to 1953 engines that have the side distributor.
