Is a 1949–1953 Flathead in a 1941 Ford the original engine?

No. Ed says he has no idea what the bore and stroke is, but the engine was definitely in a 1941 Ford and it is a 1949 to 1953 motor, so somebody changed it well before the present owner bought the car.
