How does the dyno operator read fuel mixture on a Flathead?
Robert King says that with the air hat on the carburetor he can see the air flow going through the engine, and the dyno compares how much air is being used with how much fuel is being used. He says temperature probes generally do not tell much on a Flathead because it is water cooled.
