Should an unused electric choke be left on a carburetor for a dyno test?
Not if it can restrict the carburetor. The electric choke on this carburetor was not wired up, and Steve says even so you do not want it to restrict air flow. Ed turns the choke so it is held open and cannot shut, taking it out of the equation. Steve adds that with 12 volts connected it would open by itself once warm, because it has a resistive heater inside.
