How close was Steve Coppock's horsepower prediction, and why did he stop at 300?
Steve used engine software to choose the parts, and its prediction was right around 295 horsepower; the engine made 290 as first set up. A smaller blower pulley, about 10 percent more overdrive, brought it to 300 horsepower at 5,300 rpm. He stopped there because more boost could have been tried but there is a point of diminishing returns, and he felt they had reached it.
