Who designed the ARDUN heads, and what was their connection to Ford?
Two brothers of Russian descent, Zora Arkus-Duntov and his brother Yura. Steve says Zora studied engineering in Germany, and that one of his first jobs in the United States was as a consultant to Ford, working on the Flathead's power and overheating problems. He proposed an overhead valve conversion, but Ford was not interested; it was already developing a larger Flathead V8 intended to replace the Lincoln V12.
