Why did the Arkus-Duntov brothers build the ARDUN heads themselves?
After Zora finished his consulting work with Ford, he talked to his brother, who was more the business side, and they decided to develop their own cylinder heads for Ford trucks. Steve says they fairly quickly put together an overhead valve design meant to improve both the breathing and the cooling.
