How many original ARDUN heads were made, and why did production stop?
About 200 sets, according to Steve. In 1948 Ford introduced a larger truck engine, which he gives as 337 cubic inches, and the market for the heads disappeared at once. The heads also make a very wide engine that does not fit in cars without a lot of modification. Steve shows a reproduction of a blueprint dated 1947.
