Why did the ARDUN designers use a hemispherical combustion chamber?
Hemi refers to a combustion chamber shaped like half a sphere. Steve says designers looked at many shapes, including the Flathead and wedge chambers, and chose the hemispherical one because it gives the best surface area per unit volume.
