Can you use 8BA valves in an earlier Ford Flathead?
Yes, and Steve recommends it as an upgrade for anyone with an earlier engine apart: replace the old valves and two-piece guides with the more modern, more easily maintained 8BA-style valve train. He says most people do, and the valve parts for the 59AB he is about to build are the same as the 8BA.
