Can the cylinders of a 21-stud Flathead be offset bored away from the bottom stud?
Steve says he does not know, but doubts it is viable. His first concern is connecting rod angle, since the cylinder is meant to sit square to the crank, though he says he cannot fully spell out the problem. He guesses the wall could take perhaps 50 to 60 thousandths in one direction, which is not much gain, and comes back to sleeving to standard and using stock gaskets as the fix for all of these ideas.
