Does Ed's shop clean engine parts for other builders?

Yes. Ed says doing the machining while someone else does the assembly is common for the shop, and that competitors and some major race engine builders in town bring parts in to be cleaned. The shop has a cleaning system that bakes the parts in an oven before they are cleaned, and he thinks only a couple of other shops in town have one, probably smaller.
