How did Steve Coppock compare the casting thickness of different Flathead heads?

He cut them in half. Steve calls the heads he used wall hangers: good to hang on a shelf and look at, but not something he would be comfortable putting on an engine. He sacrificed five of them for research, says he may cut up more, and says he does not think there is a conclusion yet.
