Is an Offenhauser Flathead head thick enough to be opened up for a blower?

Steve thinks so. The cut head is very thick above the chamber. He believes, without knowing, that Offenhauser uses one casting and gets the 375, 400 and 425 versions by how much it machines the deck, about 50 thousandths from one end to the other, which would leave a lot of material above the chamber. That gives him confidence the Offenhauser would make a good blower head, though he calls it an educated guess.
