Is a Fenton Flathead head safe to machine deeper for a blower?
Steve would be careful. The cut Fenton head is probably the thinnest of the group above the chamber, something you can see without measuring. Machining the pockets deeper takes away from metal that is already thin, so you could get into trouble quickly. He does not know whether it is still thick enough for a supercharger, and would feel better with the Offenhauser.
