How were Navarro heads modified for Steve Coppock's supercharged race car engine?
The Navarro is a 24-stud, 59-style head, which Steve describes as Series 2: water pumps in the block and water outlets in the middle of the head. It started as a relatively high-compression performance head. For the blower engine going in his Model T race car, the chambers were enlarged to about 73 cc, which he says could be slightly bigger but will be fine. Ultrasonic readings are still around half an inch, so he considers there is plenty of thickness.
