dyno basics · FF-0386
Why does an engine need special headers for the dyno?
On the dyno the headers have to sit out wider than they would in a car, because dyno hardware occupies that space. Dyno shops keep headers for common engines such as LS, small and big block Chevy and big block Ford, but Steve found nobody with a set for an ARDUN, whose flange is unique. These equal-length headers were made through Klein Engines in Phoenix, as a set was for the 8BA tested earlier.
