What was wrong with this 1938 Flathead when it came to Ed?
It came out of a 1938 Ford and had noises in it; Ed calls it a terrible motor. When he took it apart the rod bearings and main bearings were bad, and the owner said it had a knock the last time it was driven, many years ago. Ed had the engine almost a year, deciding how to save it without spending a lot of money, and it took about that long to find parts.
