What did Steve check before the first start of his ARDUN engine?

He checked the fuel system for leaks by turning on the electric fuel pump. He also spun the engine over on the starter with the spark plugs out, to make sure there was at least some oil pressure and that the rocker arms and rocker stands were getting oil through the external lines at the back of the engine. He says the oiling system was working fine.
