cooling · FF-0437
How can you cool an engine on a run stand without a radiator?
With a garden hose. Water from the spigot goes into the front of the engine through a PVC fitting clamped to a radiator hose, using a threaded garden hose fitting and a regular radiator clamp, and the outlet hose just drains into the driveway. Steve says that even in Arizona, with the water coming out of the ground at maybe 100 degrees, you can run an engine essentially indefinitely this way, with no radiator or fan.
