What precautions does Steve take before starting an engine at home for the first time?
He turns the water on even though the run will be short, because he wants water in the engine, and keeps a fire extinguisher handy. The stand is on wheels so it could be rolled out into the driveway if needed. He also pressurized the fuel system to check for leaks and to make sure the carburetor would not flood from a stuck float.
