supercharging · FF-0482
What did the supercharger add to the ARDUN engine?
A little over 100 horsepower, Steve says. Boost was six pounds, but at peak power it was about 5.7 pounds at 5,700 for 416 horsepower, which he calls stout for any 289 cubic inch engine with three main bearings. The torque is within 30 foot-pounds over about a 2,500 RPM range, which is very smooth.
