Are three main bearings what makes a Flathead fail?
Steve does not think so. He continues to say the three main bearings are not usually what fails; very precise balancing is the key to making a Flathead stay together, and that is what he worries about. This engine went all the way to 6,000 RPM with a blower and did just fine.
