Does an ARDUN Flathead run too cool for a good heater?
A viewer noted the oil stayed around 140 and wondered about heaters. Steve points out the ARDUN conversion was meant for industrial trucks, which probably had little heater, and an engine that runs cool gives a weaker heater. He stresses that oil temperature differs from coolant temperature, and the heater uses coolant. The oil did come up as they ran it, but eight quarts take a while to heat.
