How are the pinion bearings set up in a banjo rear end?
The center is a carrier bearing: two bearings go together and are pressed in, with the pinion pressed into them. Ed says this double bearing can be bought as a pair. Nuts stack on behind it, and it is all preset at one time before you go on.
