What does the small bearing on the end of the pinion do?
Ed calls it a little bearing that is kind of unique; the 9 inch Ford still has one. It goes on the end of the pinion and carries that end. Barry recalls Ed saying in an earlier video that some pinions need a bearing at the end because of the torque, and Ed agrees that is part of it.
