Which way is the distributor turned to advance the timing on this Flathead?
With the distributor back in and locked down they checked for spark and had fire, but when it started the engine was laboring, so it needed advance. Because of the way the rotor goes around, the distributor was turned counterclockwise to advance it, and it took a lot. A little later another call is made for about 10 degrees more advance.
