rebuilding · FF-0546
Why are so few shops willing to rebuild an engine like the 1938 Ford Flathead?
Barry says there are a lot of problems with an old engine: parts matching, specialty machining, rare model years and plain parts availability. This 1938 Ford Flathead V8 is rare because it is a 21-stud, which he says was mostly phased out after 1937, and it is also a 221 cubic inch engine.
