Which way do the gears come out of the 1946 Ford three-speed?
One part goes out the front, and another gear turns and comes out through the side. The gear has slid out part way but cannot move any further until another gear is out of the way, because more gears hook into each other. Ed gets it a little further, but there are still bearings and a lot of other parts inside.
