Why does an early Flathead lose oil pressure when the fuel pump push rod is taken out?
On the early Ford Flathead the oil galley runs right through the bore the fuel pump push rod works in. Barry asks whether taking the push rod out loses oil pressure, and Ed says yes, it would. That opening has to be plugged, and Ed makes a tool from a 3/8 bolt with a 9/16 head to do it.
